Visitors can create their own Día de los Muertos sugar skull (orcalavera de azucar) with Sacramento-based artists Rob-O and Imelda Martinez, whose impressive work will also be on view in the museum.

Artist Eleazar Caballero
Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a presentation by the creator of this year’s ofrenda, artist Eleazar Caballero. Learn more about the charro-themed altar and offerings to the departed and its role in traditional Mexican culture.
This event is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary wine and snacks beginning at 6:30 p.m.
