Disembark from your charter bus at the bustling Crosstown Freeway Asian Farmer's Market, a destination farmer's market, according to Sunset Magazine. Your guide will introduce you to a myriad of fresh Asian products. Then visit a Chinese deli down the block to see how traditional Chinese specialties such as roast pig are made using age-old methods. Cross the street to tour the historic Confucius Church of Stockton and Chinese Language School. Enjoy tea and cookies during a two-part presentation. First, Dr. George Yagi, a UOP professor, will describe Washington Street of the past, including food places - a take-off on Guy Fieri's show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives," if you will.  Then, enjoy a presentation by a talented local amateur cook on Chinese cooking. You will learn about the cookware, utensils, serving dishes, ingredients and techniques that go into preparing homestyle Chinese meals. Next, re-board your bus for a guided tour of the Stockton you never knew existed--vestiges of Stockton Chinatown within South and Central Stockton. Finally, conclude your Stockton Chinatown historical and cultural experience with an included authentic Cantonese-style luncheon at a local restaurant. Learn to use chopsticks and enjoy a course-by-course explanation of your meal.
