Heritage Writers

J.C. Leyendecker, Baseball Scene of Batter, Catcher and Umpire, 1915
Thursday, October 5, 2017
6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Complimentary wine from Weibel Family Vineyards & Winery and snacks courtesy of the Junior Women’s Group are available every 1st & 3rd Thursday evening, when the Museum is open until 9:00 p.m. Refreshments are served beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the program starts at 7:00 p.m. These special evenings vary each month to include live music, special guests and more.

The Heritage Writers Community, a 12 year old association of aspiring writers and mature published professionals, will provide a rousing emersion into the feelings, sounds and emotions of America's favorite pastime. Amidst the exhibit Baseball: America's Game, writers will present words; some old and hallowed, some newly conceived. From yesteryear will come: Who's on First and Casey at the Bat. Newly written will be a tribute to Roy "Campy" Campanella and the Boys of Summer. A little history will be sprinkled throughout. So, take me out to the ballgame!
