Ninth Annual Tarde de Flor y Canto featuring Rene Infante

Saturday, October 27, 2012
2:30 - 4:00 PM

Hosted by local artist Richard Rios, this annual program of bilingual poetry, dance and music complements the Charrería exhibition.

This year’s program will feature a vocal performance by René Infante, son of Mexico’s late legendary singer and actor Pedro Infante.

René began his career at El Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City in 1984. He has performed throughout Mexico, Central and South America, Puerto Rico and the United States, has appeared in various films and TV specials, and sung in concerts alongside Vicente Fernandez, Cuco Sanchez, Lola Beltran, Gerardo Reyes and Amalia Mendoza. Among his recordings are “3 Generaciones” (Banda), “Recordando a Mi Padre,” “A La Orilla del Mar,” “Lagrimas de Mi Pueblo” and “Mexico Lindo y Querido” (with Mariachi).

This event is included with regular museum admission. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact Curator of Education Lisa Cooperman at (209) 940-6315 or education@hagginmuseum.org.
