Spirit of the Charro: An Evening of Poetry and Prose by the Heritage Writers Community
Complementing the Charrería exhibition, the Heritage Writers Community presents poems, tales and allegories which capture the experience of life on horseback in the open range.
The writers go beyond examination of the beauty and craftsmanship of the artifacts of this proud tradition to portray the national interests and human experiences which have kindled the passion driving this cultural tradition.
Presentations will include: Dr. Jose Cantu’s trilogy of family inspired poetry, Jim Fox’s short story “The Pony Saddle” and Robert Reinarts' “Night Under the Stars.”
This event is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary wine and snacks beginning at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Curator of Education Lisa Cooperman at (209) 940-6315 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
