The Department of Museum Travel is now offering an opportunity for group travel to Charleston, Savannah, and Jekyll Island in the spring of 2024 in partnership with Collette, a family-owned company arranging guided travel since 1918. Tour in a group with friends and family and members of the greater Stockton community. Haggin Museum membership is not required. TRIP HIGHTLIGHTS
Experience warm Southern hospitality in America’s Southeast. View Historic Charleston with a walking tour OR the Fort Sumter Cruise in Charleston. Later visit the City Market, one of the country’s oldest public markets and central hub for Gullah sweetgrass basketry, and explore Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens. Travel down through South Carolina’s Low Country to Savannah, Georgia. Visit Georgia’s Gold Coast and St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. Then, visit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center where injured and sick sea turtles are rehabilitated and returned to the wild.
