Friday, October 18, 2024 | 8 AM – 6 PM
Cost: $145

Take a day trip to the third most visited urban park in the United States, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park…and leave the driving to us! At the de Young Museum, enjoy an included docent-led tour of American Beauty: The Osher Collection of American Art. This special exhibit, a promised gift from Bernard and Barbro Osher of 19th and 20th century art, includes works by Winslow Homer, William Merritt Chase, Georgia O’Keefe and John Singer Sargent.

Your de Young admission ticket includes access to other exhibits and the 9th floor Harmon Tower with a 360º panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and downtown SF. Lunch and the remainder of the day after the tour is on your own. A stroll through the Music Concourse, a large open air area, will take you to highlights of the park, including the California Academy of Sciences, the Japanese Tea Garden and the Conservatory of Flowers.

Special Opportunity! OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at Pacific is offering a free preview lecture on American Beauty to the public via Zoom on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 3:30 pm. The lecture is being offered just this once, and a recording will not be available. Sign up by emailing OLLI@Pacific.edu with “American Beauty” in the subject.
